What Are Search Engines?

Search engines are actually robots or as others call them bots. No they are not robot machines as in the movie “The terminator”. They are programs or applications that crawl or dig through Web Sites with links and blogs.


They look for new Web Sites and older Web Sites that have documents and they search these documents posted on the Internet for keywords and they will compile a list of URLs or web addresses for the documents containing keywords that are relevant to those sites, blogs, etc…
